  • Why Eat Natural Beef?

The simplest answer to this question is because it tastes better and is healthier. Beef should be a part of a well balance diet. It is an excellent source of dense protein. Dense sources of protein are better for you since it takes less quantity to provide the needed amount of protein, therefore less calories.

  • Compared To Grain-Fed Beef

Grass-fed beef is two to four times richer in heart healthy omega 3 fatty acids. Higher in "good" unsaturated fats and lower in "bad" saturated fats. Three to five times higher in CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) content. Loaded with over 400% more of vitamin A (as beta carotene) and E.

  • Back To Basic Ranching

Raising animals on pasture requires more knowledge and skill than sending them to a feedlot. For example, in order for grass-fed beef to be succulent and tender, the cattle need to forage on high-quality grasses and legumes, especially in the months prior to slaughter.

Thanks For Visiting Cummings Farms

Cummings Farms is a family owned and operated farming operation. The farms are located in the beautiful Bluegrass region of Kentucky and along the Cumberland River in south-central portion of the state. Our beef-cattle operation is located on 350 acres on four different farms. Our cattle are raised in a low-stress environment with lush pasture and shade. We produce high quality clover and orchard grass hay to feed our cattle during the winter.

Grass Fed Beef

There’s more to the world of beef beyond “Prime,” “Choice,” and “Select.” 100% grass fed beef is lower in saturated fat and higher in vitamins and healthy omega-3s than conventional beef. It also feels lighter in the mouth, and has a cleaner flavor profile.

Our Mission

Cummings Farms mission is to efficiently produce high quality beef cattle in a way that minimizes stress for humans, animals and the environment.

“Thanks for the last order I got from you. I have not tasted beef like yours since my childhood when my Grandpa raised grass fed beef in pasture. I appreciate your dedication to the animals and your customers.”
